  1. Hydro Québec grant of $1,000/kW of solar installed, up to 40% of the total cost in 2026;

  2. 0% interest loan of up to $40,000 offered by CMHC through the Rénoclimat program;

  3. Check with your municipality.

Commercial photovoltaic systems

   Subsidies
 

  1. Hydro Québec grant of $1,000/kW of solar installed, up to 40% of the total cost in 2026;

  2. Clean Energy Investment Tax Credit: A refundable tax credit of 30% on the capital costs of investments until 2034;

  3. The Federal Clean Energy Tax Provision (extended until 2025): Under this provision, businesses (including farms) can depreciate the cost of their solar energy system at an accelerated rate of 100% in the first year, exempt from the half-year rule.
